Description

VSSJA-2 double flanges steel expansion joint is also called B2F pipe compensator in GB/T12645-2007, it consists of body, follower, gland and slip pipe. Based on VSSJA flange adaptor, there are another two flanges and slip pipe. Compared with VSSJA-1 single flange loosing stop expansion joint connection, which connection is one end flange, one end welding. VSSJA-2 double flanges loosing stop expansion joint two ends are flanges connection. This type expansion joint will make movements freely under allowable movements value, once exceed the movements, the limited rods will make affects and limit the movements and protect the expansion joint.

How to distinguish VSSJA-2 double flanges steel expansion joint and VSSJAFC dismantling joints with three flanges from the appearance?

Please check the drawings and photos.

VSSJAFC

1) From the left side flange of two drawings, VSSJA-2 bolts will not higher than flange face, and size is smaller than flange drilling size and bolts holes are with thread; VSSJAFC force transferring bolts are higher than flange face and bolt holes size are same with standard flange drilling size;

2) After assembling, the long bolts end nuts of VSSJA-2 double flanges loosing stop expansion joint are not touched with the flange, because the slip pipe will move until the limited bolts and nuts will stop slipping and protect the expansion joints; The nuts of VSSJAFC will touch with the flanges and make force transferring function.

3) The nuts number of VSSJA-2 double flanges steel expansion joint long bolts is 3, the nuts number of VSSJAFC dismantling joints with three flanges is 4.
